Another week in the can and the start of another, which means we can look forward to all the new music that comes our way. From anticipated comeback to surprise release, slayable collabs, and more, the selections are giving, just as it has been for February so far. Lowkey if this continues the month might just be our favorite this year so far when it comes to our options for the 2025 OST.
EXTRAL – JENNIE AND DOECHII
Immediate yes. The song is called ExtraL, but they get an extra W from us. The beat is nasty, the rap verses serve, and the baddie energy is on lock.
REVOLVING DOOR – TATE MCRAE
Tate continues to not miss with her singles and c*nty music videos. As for her sophomore album (a big moment for any pop girl), it’s an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and nostalgia. The LP navigates the raw emotions of healing an old heart and the hesitations that come with falling in love again, the beautiful and sometimes harsh realities of what it means to be a woman, and embracing a newfound confidence.
CALL ME WHEN YOU BREAK UP – SELENA GOMEZ, BENNY BLANCO, AND GRACIE ABRAMS
Did we see this coming? Partially. But we’re here for this sound with Selena, and the inclusion of Gracie Abrams is a nice touch.
DIVING – ZACK TABUDLO
Now that he’s signed to a new record label in the US, Zack treats us to new music, and of course it sees him put an ex on blast as he wonders why he went as far as he did for someone like that. He’s got a point though ngl.
LV BAG – DON TOLIVER, SPEEDY, J-HOPE, AND PHARRELL WILLIAMS
Yes, this technically is a product placement song, but the production makes this tune an easy listen.
MOVIE SCENE – GRENTPEREZ
The way his songs sound like stories come to life. He never misses with the storytelling.
PARADISE – MAYMAY ENTRATA
It’s actually scary thinking about the pop girl potential Maymay has. She consistently eats whenever she’s in her pop star bag.
BLUEBIRD – BIBI
We all know BIBI as a baddie on and off the stage, but she also delivers when it comes to her unique and captivating vocals, as her new track shows.
CARE 4 U – FERN.
Okay Filipino R&B love song, we see the vibe.
BUTTERFLY – MARINA
A Marina comeback is just what we needed in 2025. And her new single has that whimsy charm we’ve come to love her for.
TOO MUCH – DOVE CAMERON
This beat??? Pop girl Dove Cameron, you will have your time in the spotlight!
ALINLANGAN – BENJ PANGILINAN
This heartfelt, piano-driven ballad expresses an internal struggle and crippling self-doubt, as he questions the validity of his feelings, thinking that he isn’t deserving of such love.
KID & LEVERET – YAELKORE
This medieval bop. This is the kind of story the bards tell the townsfolk over a fire in the middle of the town.
MAKE YA BODY WHISTLE – THE CATARACS AND DEV
You really know we’re entering a recession when these two are releasing new music together again. And for those of us who were there during their prime, this is the club music we bop to.
I DO ME – KIIIKIII
It’s been a hot minute since a rookie K-pop girl group surprised us with a, well, surprise release. And from what we’re seeing so far, KiiiKiii has us intrigued.
