There’s a lot of talented people in showbiz that are related, whether they’re parent-and-child, siblings, or cousins. Of course, it’s not a stretch to say that their dreams may have formed similarly or they simply grew up in environments that fostered the creativity and skills needed to make it in the industry, but it’s still cool to see people make their own ways in the world alongside their family. From Heart Evangelista and Jodi Sta. Maria to Maki and PLUUS’ Haro, whether they’re close family or distant relatives, these celebrities are iconic duos of their own. Check them out below!

MARCUS (HORI7ON) AND ELISIA (UNIS)

Idol talent in the genes! Cousins Marcus Cabais of HORI7ON and Elisia Parmisano of UNIS are two young talents emerging on the global idol scene. Both took the idol competition show route—Marcus in Dream Maker and Elisia in Universe Ticket—and skillfully made their way up the ranks until the each earned a spot in their final global idol groups HORI7ON and UNIS. From doing covers in their living room to dancing to each other’s songs during promotion periods, these two cousins are slowly achieving their dreams.

HEART EVANGELISTA AND JODI STA. MARIA

From being young actresses to showbiz mainstays, Heart Evangelista and Jodi Sta. Maria have each carved out a path to success on their own. In a livestream just this year, Heart praised the actress and divulged that she and Jodi were related. Second cousins on Heart’s mother’s side, she said that she didn’t even know they were cousins until they were already in showbiz.

JENNICA AND ASHLEY GARCIA

Actress Jennica Garcia and content creator Ashley Garcia are part of the same blended family. The two are half-sisters, sharing the same father. Though, as we know, it’s easy for things to get complicated, Jennica reveals that they’re all able to feel like one big family. Jennica, her then-husband, and her kids even took a trip together with Ashley’s family back in 2019.

MAKI AND HARO (PLUUS)

Dilaw singer Maki and idol group PLUUS member Haro don’t just share musical talents—they share DNA. Maki is Haro’s older brother. Though going in slightly different directions with their music, the brothers are supportive of each other. Like any other siblings, they argue and tease each other (sometimes caught on camera or through social media), and they’re honestly so relatable.

SANYA LOPEZ AND JAK ROBERTO

GMA artists Sanya Lopez and Jak Roberto are siblings under the same network and were both mentored by Master Showman Kuya Germs. But unlike, for instance, Mavy and Cassy Legaspi or Atasha and Andres Muhlach, not a lot of people know they’re related. Sanya, whose name is Shaira Lenn Osuna Roberto, is Jak’s younger sister of three years.

MAJA AND JANELLA SALVADOR

These two actresses are icons in their own right, and have even worked together on horror-drama series The Killer Bride (2019-2020). Maja Salvador and Janella Salvador are related, and they also are not the most sure about the direct connections (Maja once mentioned their grandfathers were brothers), but it basically stands that Janella is Maja’s niece. Janella calls her ate, though, and the two are close friends and family as well as talented actors.
