There’s no doubt that the biggest names of 2023 and beyond include Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, and Michelle Dee. The past year or so has seen some of their biggest successes, from DonBelle’s newest teleserye Can’t Buy Me Love to Michelle slinking down the Miss Universe 2023 stage and making it to the Top 10 of the competition.
It seems only fitting, then, that the new-generation icons are honored in a way that quite literally cements their legacies as trailblazers in their respective industries. On March 6th, the three stars and a handful more officially unveiled their Eastwood Walk Of Fame stars at Eastwood City in Quezon City in a grand celebration of media and entertainment.
ETCHED IN STARS
Founded by the German Moreno Foundation, the annual Eastwood City Walk Of Fame celebration honors the achievements, excellence, and contributions of notable Pinoy personalities. On its 18th year, the Walk Of Fame introduced a new batch of honorees in a red-carpet event and unveiled a new set of stars with big names etched into the street.
Halls and Walks of Fame have long been a way to commemorate and celebrate the achievements and excellence of people in all kinds of industries—but most popularly, in media and entertainment. From Los Angeles to Monte Carlo, Adelaide to Quezon City, big names line city streets, reminding people everyday of the impact stars and industry professionals have had on others.
For artists, a Walk of Fame star, whether on Hollywood or Eastwood, is a surefire sign that you’ve made it. Not only are they being celebrated for touching lives and excelling in the work that they do, they are being forever remembered. For instance, during the Walk of Fame event, late actress Jaclyn Jose’s very own star on the Walk of Fame was adorned with flowers and candles, a tribute to her life and her work. It’s a dream-come-true for so many people, and we love to see deserving artists get the chance to be immortalized in golden, five-point stars.
HONOR OF A LIFETIME
This year, young actors and loveteam Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, as well as Miss Universe 2023 Michelle Dee, join other Walk of Fame inductees across different media industries, namely news, radio, TV, movies, music, social media, and theater. For their years of work as actors and social media darlings, Donny and Belle have earned themselves their own plaques at such a young age, following the likes of next-gen stars Liza Soberano, Ranz Kyle, and Niana Guerrero. Beauty queen, singer, and actress Michelle also earned herself another title to add to her name.
Other honorees include actors Sanya Lopez, Luis Manzano, Baron Geisler, musicians Rivermaya, creator and socialite Small Laude, and more.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to have a star here,” Belle says in an interview. “I’m so glad to be able to share this event with everyone here.”
In a sweet moment in that same interview, Donny recounts his initial reaction: “Makakasama ko na si lolo.” The young actor’s grandfather Tony Ferrer, who passed in 2021, has his own star in the Walk Of Fame, having been inducted for his contributions to acting and filmmaking in 2014.
If you want to take a walk down the Walk of Fame, just head on over to Eastwood to see Donny, Belle, and Michelle’s stars along with many others that have made their mark in Philippine media and entertainment. Those names have delighted and inspired generations of Filipinos, and we can’t wait to see whose names we’ll get to see next.
