Our February 2025 cover stars, Joce Morales, Jasmin Lao, Iya Omaña, and Joize Frilles, turn Dare-Z into a memorable girlhood experience.

February is often associated as the love month given Valentine’s Day’s prominence in the middle of the month. But we wanted to celebrate a different kind of love, one that goes beyond the romantic aspect and speaks deeper to the connection that only women can understand with other women.
So, for our first print cover for 2025, we celebrated the best of being a girl’s girl with our Girlhood issue. And fronting our cover are four young women who are not only connected to what it means to be a young woman today as content creators but are also friends IRL and have a friendship that extends beyond reactions on social media.
Joce Morales, Jasmin Lao, Iya Omaña, and Joize Frilles slayed the dollhouse-inspired cover shoot with their pastel ‘fits. They looked like if The Powerpuff Girls became content creators. In their cover story, meanwhile, the girls opened up about being a girl’s girl through the Gen Z lens and how their friendship helped them embrace their girlhood.
There are few things in this world as effective in helping you be a true girl’s girl after all than your barkada and being surrounded by true girl friends who will be there for you and also keep it real when the situation calls for it. Now, Joce, Jasmin, Iya, and Joize are here to show off their sisterly bond once more in the newest episode of Dare-Z.
ALL THE GIRLS ARE POPPING BALLOONS
In case you need a refresher, Dare-Z is the game show we launched in 2024 where our cover stars are challenged to pop ten balloons in the fastest time possible. The twist? Each balloon has either a question they have to answer or a dare they have to do, and a balloon doesn’t count unless they do the task. Oh, and we also rank each cover star on a leaderboard. Over the past year, we’ve seen our cover stars like Justin de Dios, Esnyr, and Hyacinth Callado take on the challenge, and it continues this 2025 with new cover stars and leaderboard rankings.
Up first, our Girlhood issue cover stars step up to the plate. From sharing their thoughts on “pick me” girls, giving their advice to their fellow young women, using their favorite Gen Z slang in a sentence, and more, these content creators prove that a girl’s girl knows how to have fun and while spilling a hot take here and there.
