The FOMO is real with seeing everyone’s posts at the Eras Tour in Tokyo, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything to alleviate it.

We may be two months into 2024, but Taylor Swift has already taken over our feeds. We have a new TS album coming our way called The Tortured Poets Department dropping this April 19. She also began the latest leg of her Eras Tour, which includes stops in Tokyo this February and six shows in Singapore in March. You’ve probably been seeing posts and stories of your friends or random users going overseas just to watch one of her concerts, and we don’t blame you if it’s been getting those FOMO levels up.
But just because you weren’t able to snag a ticket, doesn’t mean you should wallow in seeing videos of people in Tokyo or Singapore getting their whole life. There are things you can do back home to still get in on the Taylor action. Scroll down for a few activities that could lessen your Eras Tour FOMO ever so.
COP LOCAL MERCH
INSTAGRAM/MARI.MAARTE
If you can’t get your friends, co-workers, or family members to get you official merch from the Eras Tour, just do the next best thing, cop local merch. And we’re not just talking about any kind of merch, but ones made by local shops run by actual Swifties. That way, not only are you supporting SMEs, but you’re also transacting with true fans. From Paper Lover PH’s selection of specialized Taylor Swift candles to mari.maarte’s Taylor t-shirt collection, quite a few local shops can help you scratch that Taylor merch itch.
BOOK A TAYLOR SWIFT-THEMED AIRBNB
AIRBNB/TAYLOR SWIFT THEMED STAYCATION
Take your Taylor Swift night to the next level by booking a stay at this Airbnb that would be a dream accommodation for any Swiftie. Located in Pasig, this 3,000 peso-a-night two-bedroom condo can fit up to six guests. The space is fully furnished with a minimalist but curated design that’s easy on the eyes. But the real star of the Airbnb is its Taylor-themed decorations, from the numerous photos and memorabilia of the superstar to an actual record player. It’s low-key the perfect place to book as you and your fellow Swiftie friends watch The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) when it drops on Disney+ this March 15.
ENJOY A COFFEE (OR TWO) AT A TAYLOR SWIFT-THEMED CAFE
If you can’t go overseas to be with other Swifties watching her concert, then find fellow fans here at a Taylor Swift-themed cafe. Given how many Filipinos love the pop superstar, quite a few spots in the country are based around her and her music. There’s the gorgeously designed Wiltlover Cafe, whose main branch is in Mandaluyong but has other locations around the country, and Willow Cafe in Cagayan de Oro, whose giant Taylor murals and coffee will make you feel like you’re in Wonderland.
And, if you’re heading to the piney surroundings of Baguio to get in the mood for The Tortured Poets Department, you may also want to stop by Cornelia Street Bistro House, the newest Taylor Swift-themed cafe in the City of Pines. From the ambiance to themed drinks and more, you’re gonna stay stay stay for a while.
