Not to sound exaggerated but if we could listen to Bretman Rock the whole day, we would. He just gets it and can yap that’s equal part enlightening and entertaining af. A podcast makes so much sense for Bretman if you think about it. And honestly, with all the content creators out there who have their own podcasts, Bretman Rock deserves one. Luckily, that time has finally come as the singer, songwriter, actor, actress, athlete, activist, and scientist on the motherfucking side, the star of the crystal of the dayayayyayaayy, a coconut water connoisseur, and reality star is finally a podcast host. Turn up the radio, because it’s time to get into DaBaddest Radio

DA BADDEST ON AIR

Teased over the past few weeks, DaBaddest Radio is now here with the launch of the first episode on July 22, which was timed to drop on the start of Leo season, Bretman’s star sign. And while it isn’t an actual radio station owned by Bretman (though that would be cool af), we did get the next best thing in this podcast. Hosted by the Filipino multi-hyphenate, DaBaddest Radio promises to be Bretman’s newest avenue to share his stories and be a safe space for fellow baddies to baddie out.

The pilot episode of DaBaddest Radio sees Bretman delve into the show’s origins. For starters, the “44.4” you see on the logo is because 4 is Bretman’s favorite number and not an actual radio station, and the title derives from Nicki Minaj’s Apple Music show, Queen Radio.

Initially, Bretman didn’t want to start a podcast. But, after seeing all his friends start podcasts, he got FOMO and decided to do one himself, a mood TBH. He also shared that the podcast serves as an extension of his memoir You’re That Bitch & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself he released last year as well as his way to heal his relationship with long-form content.

More importantly, he envisions the podcast to help cement his legacy and show how he manifested everything good that has happened and will happen to him. To that end, he revealed on the episode that his first journal entry of the year was written on January 25, a day that fell on a Leo Moon, and the podcast launched on July 22, a day with a Leo Sun. Even destiny is a fan.

FOR AND BY THE BADDIES

So, what can you expect from DaBaddest Radio? As Bretman laid it out in the episode, he’s manifesting a few things for the show. First, he wants to use the podcast to get to know the people he loves even more. Think less celebrity guest interviews and more insightful chats with his sister, mother, older brother, assistants, and the like. Second, he rightfully is manifesting to have the best and baddest podcast that sweeps the awards shows. Third, he asked brands to advertise on the show as he’s open to doing advertising segments. Secure those bags, Bretman!

Finally, Bretman wants to get uncomfortable as the DaBaddest Radio is aiming to be both fun and challenging as he gets closer to himself and opens up more of his heart to the baddie listeners. Bretman then closed the episode by making his recommendation of the week, something he plans to do every episode. Brerman’s first reco is appropriately to take up journaling as a way for you to put down your thoughts, write down your feelings, and, just like Bretman, manifest all your Ws.

New episodes of DaBaddest Radio drop every Thursday.
