Did someone say art... in the park?

Sundays are for the vibes and vibes only, something Art in the Park understands.

How are we only into the third month of 2025 and things already feel hectic? This is why we cherish our weekends, no matter how short they can be. And if you’re ready to stop, smell the flowers, and even enjoy art while you’re at it, Art in the Park has you covered. Described as Art Fair Philippines’ more laid-back and affordable sister event, Art in the Park promises to be a day of chill art appreciation (and maybe even some buying) in the sunny outdoors featuring Filipino artists and their work.

ART IN THE PARK 1

The event takes place this March 23 from 10 AM – 10 PM at Jaime Velasquez Park in Makati City. Dozens of exhibitors will decorate the park with art that isn’t just meant to be looked at but can also be purchased with a price cap of 70,000 pesos (most of the art will be available for much less than that).

There’s no need to be intimidated when it’s all there for you in an open and welcoming environment. And the best part? The event benefits the Museum Foundation of the Philippines in support of its projects and programs for the National Museum of the Philippines and its network. It’s not a bad way to spend a Sunday if we do say so ourselves. Check out what else is in store at Art in the Park 2025.

EXHIBITS

What’s art in the park without the art, right? This year, expect a diverse mix of exhibitors that range from established galleries and independent art collectives to student groups and fine art schools. There will be a total of 61 exhibitors, whose many pieces will be available to purchase at a value if you find something you like.

ART IN THE PARK 2

This year’s exhibitors are Ang INK, Archivo 1984, Art for Space, ART LAB: Atelier Cesare & Jean Marie Syjuco, Art Toys PH, Art Underground, Art Verité Gallery, Artbeat Collective, Artery Art Space, Avellana Art Gallery, Boston Art Gallery, Cartellino Art, Cornerstone Pottery (EJ Espiritu), Cultural Center of the Philippines, De La Salle- College of Saint Benilde, FA Gallery, Fuse Projects, Galeria de las Islas, Galerie Anna, Galerie Artes, Galerie Stephanie, Gallery Genesis, ILCP Art Space, J Studio, Jon and Tessy Pettyjohn, KASIBULAN, Komiket, Kulay Art Group, Looking for Juan, M A G, METRO Gallery, MONO8, Nest, Nineveh Artspace, Orange Project, Pintô Art Museum and Arboretum, Qube Gallery, Resurrection Furniture, Savage Mind / Kamarin Art Space, Sheerjoy Collective, Sierra Madre Gallery, Space Encounters Gallery, Superduper Art Gallery, Talyer 15 Manila, The Authenticity Zero Collective, The Mighty Bhutens, The Photography Collective, The Print Outpost, The Thursday Group, Tin-Aw Art Projects, UP Artists’ Circle, UP College of Fine Arts, Urban Sketchers Manila, VeryGood Gallery, Village Art Gallery, Vinyl on Vinyl, White Walls Gallery, and Ysobel Art Gallery.

SPECIAL ARTISTS

One of Art in the Park’s defining features is how every year, a handful of Filipino artists are chosen to showcase special exhibitions. For its 19th edition, those artists are AR Manalo, TRNZ, and Carlo Tanseco. AR Manalao is a contemporary mixed-media artist who is dedicating his exhibit to his young daughter with his mixed-media adult pop-up book. Heavily influenced by 90s anime, multimedia visual artist TRNZ (pronounced as tee-ar-en-zee) is coming to the event with his graphic, pop surrealist figures.

ART IN THE PARK 3

Last but not least, designer and artist Carlo Tanseco is making his presence known at Art in the Park with new additions to his acclaimed Rizal Matchbox series, as well as limited-edition giclée prints based on the work. If his name sounds familiar, that’s because he was at Art Fair Philippines 2025 and was the artist responsible for the popular Sari-Sari store exhibition.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

ART IN THE PARK 4

Jaime Velasquez Park isn’t just the backdrop for all the art on display and for sale, but also the setting for a relaxing Sunday from sunrise to sundown. Expect live music from singer-songwriter duo Leanne and Naara, an all-vinyl DJ set by Mario Serrano of EST City, and easy jazz music throughout the day from Soulful Mood to set the, well, mood. If you’re feeling parched or the tummy starts to grumble, fairgoers will also have a wide range of local food and beverage concessionaires to choose from to satisfy the cravings, such as quick refreshments, on-the-go bites, and meals.

ART IN THE PARK 5

Art in the Park 2025 is open to all, so if you’re free this March 23 anytime from 10 AM – 10 PM, stop by Jaime Velasquez Park in Makati City for a day of art… in the park. And no need for a ticket because entrance is free.
