Nicole Cordoves Wore A Breastplate Reminiscent Of Zendaya’s Red Carpet Look And We Are Obsessed

Beauty pageants keep on upping their game every year and we're here for it.

We don’t deserve these women!

In case you haven’t realized, beauty pageants are major here in the Philippines. So, whenever the occasion calls for it, you either go big or go home. At the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 pageant last night, Nicole Cordoves (Miss Grand International 2016 1st Runner Up), who was one half of last night’s hosting tandem with Catriona Gray, wore an eye-catching breastplate that’s literally an art sculpture itself. In stylist Bonita Penaranda’s post, she revealed that the look was created in collaboration with artist and sculptor Studio Haring, which was paired with a stunning purple skirt made by her brand, JustBonita. Nicole Cordoves, being the perfect muse, made quite the statement!

The breastplate was moulded and casted onto Nicole Cordoves’ body, following her perfect curves. A masterpiece artfully made for the world to see and worn ever so magnificently, it was a sight to behold onstage. Look at the material, the QUALITY. Nicole Cordoves did what she had to do all while flipping her hair!

The breastplate and sculpted bodice look is nothing new in fashion, as seen on the runways of designers like Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, and most recently, Tom Ford. Remember Zendaya’s red carpet look at 25th Critics’ Choice Awards? Yes, that was a Mr. Ford moment. Year after year, beauty pageants keep on upping their game from the fashion, beauty, and the way these queens walk the talk. We’re ecstatic to see more serves like these in the future.
