The final week of June 2021 did not disappoint when it came to new song releases. The week saw highly-anticipated collaborations from top artists as well as some much-hyped comebacks. Here are some of the new song releases of the past week that should go on your playlist.
MAPA (Band Version) – SB19 and Ben&Ben
SB19 and Ben&Ben made history when they released their new version of MAPA. Not only is this their first collaboration, but they were the first artists to perform at the newly renovated Manila Metropolitan Theater for the performance video.
Renegade – Big Red Machine and Taylor Swift
As if Taylor Swift isn’t any busier, she still has time to be part of other artists’ songs like with Big Red Machine’s newest song, Renegade. The song is giving us shades of country Taylor.
Starting Line – Luke Hemmings
You may know Luke Hemmings as a member of 5 Seconds of Summers, but this time, he’s showing himself as a solo artist with the release of his debut solo single, Starting Line. He showcases a whole new side to himself in the song and it also serves as the lead single to his debut solo album, When Facing The Things We Turn Away From which is set to be released on August 13.
Pelikula – Janine Tenoso and Arthur Nery
Janine Tenoso and Arthur Nery just released a collaboration called Pelikula, a smooth love song.
Sweet Dreams – Alan Walker and Imanbek
Alan Walker and Imanbek released their collaboration called Sweet Dreams. The song contains an infectious interpolation of Scatman John´s Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop). The track also radiated high energy and intensity.
Diwata – DAZE and Zendee
Pinoy rapper DAZE has a new song out called Diwata. The pop-rap and trap soul song also features vocals from Zendee.
California [Live Acoustic Version] – 88rising, Rich Brian, NIKI, and Warren Hue
Originally premiering during 88rising’s Asia Rising Together Benefit Concert in support of Asian Mental Health Collective, the acoustic version of California is now out. In the song, Rich Brian, NIKI, and Warren Hue sing and rap about their new home and anxieties in Los Angeles over a wistful acoustic guitar.
PTT (Paint The Town) – LOONA
LOONA just had their comeback when they released their newest mini-album, [&]. PTT (Paint The Town) serves as their comeback single and it’s another LOONA banger.
Wrecked – Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons have a new song out called Wrecked which is a slightly more stripped-back version of their usual sound as well as their hard-hitting vocals.
In Da Getto – J Balvin and Skrillex
J Balvin has a new song out called In Da Getto, a collaboration with Skrillex. The song has an infectious energy and includes elements of the 90s hit In De Ghetto by David Morales and The Bad Yard Club featuring Crystal Waters and Delta.
I Am The Stripclub – Iggy Azalea
For the past few years, Iggy Azalea has been releasing bop after bop with amazing visuals and that continues with her newest single, I Am The Stripclub.
Got It – KEVIN WOO
Former U-KISS member and solo artist Kevin Woo just released a new song, Got It. It’s his first song in early two years and we’re hopeful he releases more music in a shorter period of time.
Dominoes – Anson Seabra
Anson Seabra has a new song with Dominoes. The song showcases his mesmerizing vocals as he sings about heartbreak and past relationships.
Perfect World -TWICE
Fresh of their latest comeback with Alcohol-Free, TWICE just released their newest Japanese single, Perfect World. The song is amazing and the music video lets the girls show off their more badass side.

Female K-Pop solo artist AleXa just released a fun new single called Xtra as well as an accompanying music video that sees her dance alongside KARD’S BM.

Speaking of KARD’S BM, he also released a new hard-hitting song called 13IVI (which spells out BM).
SUPERSTAR – SHINee
SHINee has a new song out with SUPERSTAR which serves as their first Japanese single in years. Along with this, they also released a Japanese mini-album of the same name that also includes new songs Closer, SEASONS, and a Don’t Call Me Japanese version.
