Sandara Park’s first hosting stint came during 2NE1’s hiatus in 2015. She became a regular MC of JTBC’s musical variety show Two Yoo – Sugar Man where the singer-actress was joined by renowned comedian and Running Man host Yoo Jae Suk, musician Yoo Hee Yeol and lyricist Kim Eana. It was quite a fruitful hosting debut for Dara with Sugar Man running for three seasons.

ONSTYLE’S GET IT BEAUTY

The fashion icon that she is, it’s just fitting that Sandara Park became one of the hosts of OnStyle’s Get It Beauty. Joined by model and beauty queen Honey Lee and singer Kim Se-jeong, Dara channeled her beauty guru self in the show, sharing skincare and wellness tips. VIDEO STAR

Dara’s South Korean television takeover continued when she joined the all-female hosting panel of MBC every1’s variety talk show Video Star in 2019. A spin-off series of the popular program Radio Star, Video Star was on-air for five seasons and featured over a hundred episodes where Sandara Park was joined by Park So Hyun, Kim Sook, Park Na Rae, interviewing some of K-pop’s hottest stars. Dara’s Video Star stint was a special one that even her former 2NE1 groupmates Park Bom, Minzy, and CL were thrilled for her.

Apart from being a mainstay in some local shows, Sandara Park’s hosting skills also shine in international music festivals. Just like in the Asia Song Festival in 2021, where Dara partnered with her fellow Abyss Company artist BamBam of GOT7, who also performed in the event. ASEAN FANTASIA CONCERT

A 3000-strong audience from multicultural backgrounds? Well, Sandara Park’s hosting talent can surely handle that. In 2019, Dara emceed the ASEAN Fantasia concert in the city of Changwon, which aimed to celebrate the ASEAN-Korea Commemorative Summit. K-pop idols Psy and BOA, as well as NCT 127 took to the stage with Southeast Asian acts including the Thai wonder, Phum Viphurit.

In 2013, Sandara Park became an emcee of one of South Korea’s biggest televised music festivals, the SBS Gayo Daejeon. Her first time hosting the program, Dara was joined by local entertainer Sung Si Kyung and Super Junior member Kim Heechul. As a cherry on top, Dara also performed with the 2NE1 girls at the fest. What a night.

IDOL LEAGUE

One of Sandara Park’s much recent hosting stints is STATV’s talk show Idol League. With her fellow emcee, BTOB’s Eunkwang, Dara spent some cute and memorable moment with some of K-pop’s biggest groups including Momoland, TREASURE, and ITZY, among others. Some of them even couldn’t help but fangirl and fanboy over the legendary Dara.

STATE DINNER

You’ll agree more that Sandara Park is a versatile host as she cannot only ace variety shows or music festivals. She can also hold a high-function event like the Philippines-South Korea state dinner in Seoul last 2018.

BONUS: PINOY BOYBAND SUPERSTAR

Also one of her first few television gigs was when she became a judge at ABS-CBN’s singing competition program, Pinoy Boyband Superstar. While she wasn’t the show’s host, it’s a special moment for the K-pop icon and our favorite krung-krung to join Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, and Aga Muhlach in their search for the next Pinoy boy group.
