G-DRAGON AND CHANEL
Monsieur G-Dragon, as what the French fashion house calls him, has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2017. The leader of Big Bang is often seen in womenswear and styles them with accessories that reflect his sartorial choices. G-Dragon is one of the first few Korean stars who have become a friend of the house, having been invited by legendary fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld himself on several shows. G-Dragon was also the first K-pop star to be invited to Paris Fashion Week.

KAI AND GUCCI
Who else wants everything from Kai’s Gucci latest capsule collection? Having been a front-row fixture since 2018, it was a no-brainer that the Italian fashion house would finally announce the Exo member as their ambassador a year later and even starred in Gucci’s campaigns.
BTS and LOUIS VUITTON
BTS aren’t only true hitmakers, but now, we can finally say that they are unequalled fashion kings in the K-pop world. Sure, they’ve done collaborations with FILA, McDonald’s, PUMA, and with frequent sightings in front row shows. But being hand-picked as Louis Vuitton ambassadors? That’s next level. Remember when they wore custom outfits on stage by former men’s artistic director Kim Jones? They did THAT.
ROSÉ AND SAINT LAURENT
How do you even get an actual co-sign from Saint Laurent’s creative director himself, Anthony Vaccarello? “She is the future Saint Laurent girl. It is in the way she lives, the way she leads her fashion, and the way she is free from the public,” Vacarrello says of Rosé. Recently, the K-pop star has also been appointed global ambassador of jewelry brand, Tiffany & Co.

2NE1 AND JEREMY SCOTT
Known for his kitschy designs, Jeremy Scott had it in the bag when he got Bom, CL, Dara, and Minzy as his muses. Admit it, you’ve always wanted to dress like a 2NE1 member growing up. They were one of the first girl groups in K-pop who were bold enough to show their bad-ass side despite their contemporaries who were more branded as girly and soft.

LISA AND CELINE
Before Blackpink’s Lisa became Celine’s global ambassador, the French fashion house was always in hot waters because of how Hedi Slimane veered away from former creative director Phoebe Philo’s legacy in womenswear. But when Lisa came into the picture, the search queries for their pieces leapt to more than 60% globally. Her impact!

JENNIE KIM AND CHANEL
They don’t call her “Human Chanel” for nothing. Along with Lily Rose Depp, Margot Robbie, and fellow K-stars, G-Dragon, Lee Dong Wook, and Shin Min Ah, Blackpink’s Jennie became their global ambassador just two years into the girl group’s career before they even blew up worldwide. It-girl status indeed.

IU and GUCCI
Singer and actress IU was confirmed as the Italian House’s global ambassador early in 2020. The airport fashion of the “Human Gucci” (as her fans call her), front row looks, and magazine covers all see her wearing the luxury brand effortlessly. It goes without saying, she makes headlines all the time. She was even spotted wearing fellow K-pop star and ambassador Kai’s sweater dress from his capsule collection.
EXO’S BAEKHYUN AND PRIVÉ ALLIANCE
At the moment, Baekhyun of EXO has over 20.7million followers on Instagram alone, but his impact as co-creative director (along with CEO, fashion editor and stylist Danyl Geneciran) for Privé Alliance is unmatched in streetwear. Privé by “BBH” not only stood for his initials Byun Baekhyun, he also reflects his identity in the brand, and took inspiration from the phrase: “Be brave, be Humble”
JISOO AND DIOR
Blackpink’s Jisoo really went from K-pop’s mystery girl pre-debut to becoming the global ambassador or Dior for fashion and beauty. Business of Fashion even revealed that Dior’s net income in Korea skyrocketed to 250% in 2020. The French fashion house’s first female creative director, Maria Grazia Churi, was enamoured by Jisoo’s feminine and modern style, that she became the inspiration for their A/W ’21 collection.

WAYV’S LUCAS AND BURBERRY
Known for his street style and preppy outfits, Lucas Wong of WayV, NCT, and SuperM is Burberry’s global ambassador. Storming the fashion world isn’t new to him as he walked at Seoul Fashion Week in the past and is frequently being invited to Burberry’s shows in London and China. He was also seen wearing the British brand on his NYLON China cover shoot.
ITZY AND CHARLES AND KEITH
If you’re into sugar, spice and everything nice, K-Pop girl group ITZY just came out with their second collaboration ‘ITZ ME’ with Charles and Keith. The drop consisted of chunky loafers and hobo bags in five different color combinations. Their first release was also huge, with a cooler take on platform boots and mary janes. One step closer to living your K-Star fantasy. What else can you ask for?
NEWJEANS HYEIN AND LOUIS VUITTON
Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome the youngest ambassador of Louis Vuitton, NewJeans’ Hyein. This maknae followed the footsteps of older member Hanni and made headlines at the beginning of the year. Last year, she might’ve dropped hints already when she appeared on the cover of Vogue Korea wearing LV from head to toe.
BTS’ JIMIN AND DIOR
It makes perfect sense that Jimin would be announced as Dior’s ambassador knowing that the brand’s creative director Kim Jones made the stage outfits of BTS back in 2019.
NEWJEANS HANNI AND GUCCI
Gucci appointed NewJeans’ Hanni as their ambassador because of her “unique charm and style.” Each of the girl group members are very experimental with their looks and Vietnamese-Australian Hanni is no exception.
