While the anticipation builds for He’s Into Her, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano are already looking to the next story to take on together.
If there’s anything you should have learned in science class is that chemistry, while complex in nature, cannot be messed with. Sure, it’s difficult, proving to be quite a challenge to navigate, but once you really understand it, everything else seems pretty much smooth sailing from then—experiments included. The same thing can be said about chemistry in the more figurative sense, one that includes connections with a colleague, contemporary, or charmed significant other. If it works, where theories are put to the test, then the bond can prove to be considerably unbreakable. And you know what they say: there’s no arguing with science.
Beyond the books and Bunsen burners, chemistry is of the essence in show business, especially when in the context of love teams, young adult narratives, and anything lensed in the rose-colored lenses of the romantic sort. It is this almost palpable unspoken that you just feel coursing through your veins, making a story feel as authentic and emotional as their real-life counterparts. This feeling separates the passing from the persistent and passionate, practically latching straight into your fantasies. Now, as we know, something this genuine isn’t made, but rather, it just happens. Some people either have it or they don’t. And trust us, the audience will know when chemistry is faked and forced.
Following many romantic greats of generations past and present, the future looks particularly bright between Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, the fresh pair with chemistry that is proving to be off the charts—and the thing is, their first team-up has yet to air.

Announced in 2019, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano were anointed as a new love team by the powers that may be in the industry, whose appeal and significance as a dynamic duo set to be put to the test in the iWant series, He’s Into Her.
Based on the popular WattPad novel of the same name by Maxine Lat Calibuso, the highly anticipated release is by all accounts a very promising one. “Sobra kaming excited kasi napanood ko na ‘yung edited, kilig na kilig ako,” divulges ABS-CBN Films Managing Director, Olivia Lamasan. While the exact date has yet to be revealed, things are looking up for its stars, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, or as their shippers have already gone on to christen them, DonBelle. “I am really thankful for that kasi kahit ang tagal naming hindi nag-shoot ay todo support pa rin sila sa amin,” the actress of Goin’ Bulilit and Four Sisters Before The Wedding fame said in an interview for Magandang Buhay.
Proving to be the next great love team to watch out for, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano already have follow-up projects lined up for them after He’s Into Her. During his contract signing with ABS-CBN, it was disclosed that the young actors would start working on a short film to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. A collaboration between the Hong Kong Tourism Board, this cinematic cut will eventually be developed into a full-length film.
What’s Next For Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano?
“This is just a well deserved success. So, continue doing what you love and continue doing the great work. I’m just so pleased to see you accomplishing great things. Best wishes for you and your new adventure. See you soon,” expressed Belle Mariano in a surprise message for her co-star and love team partner during the contract signing. Meanwhile, the MYX VJ and actor (Walwal, Playhouse, James & Pat & Dave) replied, “Of course, a lot of those memories will be with you soon kasi we’re doing a lot of projects together. Thank you for being there to support me as well. Can’t wait to spend more projects with you.” (BRB, we’re getting kilig over here.)
Barely just at the precipice of possibilities as partners, there is clearly a lot to expect from Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano together, and as actors in their own right. But as we wait for the response and reactions from their first foray as a love team together, we have their insane chemistry to tide ourselves with, because it looks like we’ll be seeing them together for quite some time in the future.
