The Finale Of Attack On Titan Has Us In Our Feels, And These Reactions Prove We’re Not Alone

Ten years after its premiere, the popular Attack on Titan anime has finally come to an end with the recent airing of the final episode of Attack on Titan: The Final Season on November 5. And to celebrate the moment, fans are invited to attend the worldwide celebration, which will be livestreamed until November 8. Members of the cast and behind-the-scenes talent are slated to appear as they commemorate the anime’s conclusion.

Adapted from Hajime Isayama’s manga, which itself ended its run in April 2021 after 11 years, the series captured the world’s attention to quickly become one of the most talked-about shows in modern anime. From hardcore fans to casual viewers, the show was on everyone’s lips for years. And while the conclusion to Eren Yeager’s arc was months in the making, with the first special of AoT’s Final Chapters airing last March, it did meet its end with the long-awaited part two that put a definitive period to the characters we’ve come to know and love (and hate). 

While we won’t spoil what goes down (because where’s the fun in that), let’s just say the finale was an emotional, and maybe even painful rollercoaster ride for the characters in this story. Going by reactions on social media, many fans felt the same way, both with how the show ended and the conclusion of a long-running anime that broke all kinds of barriers.
