It truly is the revenge of the live gig scene with Justin Bieber, TXT, SB19, SEVENTEEN, Ben&Ben, and more holding concerts in the Philippines within the coming months.

For a time, we thought that live music and concerts would never return, at least not in the foreseeable future. But thanks to a combination of vaccines, low case counts, and increased safety measures, the local concert scene is alive and kicking once more. And based on the performances set to be held in the country this year and next, it’s clear that both local and international acts are ready to play for a live crowd again. If you want to finally experience that live concert scene once more, here’s a running list of the performers coming to the country this 2022 and beyond.

AURORA 2022 (June 10-11)

The Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival show is one of the most anticipated events you can do attend in Pampanga this year. Even if you aren’t into hot air balloons, just seeing the spectacle of them flying is good enough for many. But if flying balloons and the open air isn’t enough for you, there’s also the accompanying music festival. Happening on June 10 and 11, the music festival is almost Coachella-esque in nature as you get to enjoy good music at the open fields of Clark, Pampanga. Confirmed acts include Ben&Ben, Arthur Nery, and Unique just to name a few.

KIM SOOHYUN (June 10)

Don’t you just miss seeing your fave oppas live and in person? Well, this 2022 fan meets and concerts from your fave K-drama stars are happening once again. Up first is this fan meet with actor Kim Soo-Hyun. The event is in partnership with Bench as he is one of their ambassadors. The fan meet, entitled One Extraordinary Day, will be held at the Mall Of Asia Arena on June 10. Check out Bench’s official social media channels on how you can get tickets.

Balcony Entertainment is home to some of the hottest and most iconic acts in OPM. And this June, the music company is coming together to showcase their talents on a live stage. Rico Blanco, Maris Racal, Ebe Dancel, Raven, Zild, and Never The Strangers are all descending on the Music Museum for a special one night event called Balcony Entertainment Live. Aside from the performances, the event is extra special for Maris Racal as it will also serve as her album launch. Catch the Balcony Entertainment family at the Music Museum on June 11.

ANNE CURTIS (June 11)

Anne Curtis spent a couple of years away from the industry as she raised her daughter. But the superstar is back in the limelight once more, returning as a host on It’s Showtime. Aside from this, Anne is set to stage her highly anticipated comeback concert this June 11. Entitled Luv-Anne!, expect Anne to serve the looks, stage presence, and even some vocals. The concert will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at 8 PM.

HWANG IN YOUP (June 19 and September 24)

Fun fact: Hwang In Youp is set to travel to the country not once, but twice this 2022 for two fan meets. The True Beauty star is set to hold a fan meet in the country on June 19 at the New Frontier Theater. This is in collaboration with BYS as he serves as one of their ambassadors. Then, on September 24, he is set to hold another fan meet at the same venue, his first ever in the country not tied to a brand. But this time, it’s part of his Asia Fan Meeting Tour. From new projects to fan meets, Hwang In Youp’s Filipino fans are eating well this 2022.

MOW’S REOPENING (June 24)

Due to the pandemic, many of our favorite local bars and gig spots had to close, some permanently. But with the local concert scene seeing a revival, some of these spots are reopening once more, such as QC favorite Mow’s. This major haunt from yester years is reopening its doors for a special concert on June 24, Friday. Over 12 acts are set to perform with a line-up that features both local and international artists. Doors open at 8 PM with an entrance fee of 300 pesos that includes two free “dranks”.

ROWOON (June 26)

Arthur Nery’s career blew up during the pandemic. And now, the bonafide OPM star is set to hold an in-person solo concert this July, marking his first ever solo concert. If you plan on going, prepare to be amazed by his soulful vocals and songs that hit at deeper levels. The concert will be held at the New Frontier Theater on July 2.

TUGATOG MUSIC FESTIVAL (July 15)

P-pop takes center stage at the Tugatog Music Festival. The line-up features a who’s who of the hottest P-pop groups like SB19, BGYO, BINI, and MNL48, as well as young OPM stars like Zack Tabudlo. The half day event will be held at the Mall Of Asia Arena on July 15. But if you can’t make it in person, you can also catch the festival online via livestream.

LOUIS TOMLINSON (July 16)

Louis Tomlinson becomes the latest member of One Direction to hold a solo concert in the Philippines. As part of his world tour and first solo concert, Louis is set to perform at the Araneta Coliseum on July 16. He was initially supposed to hold the concert at the smaller New Frontier Theater so we’re happy he got a bigger venue. Additional tickets will be on sale starting June 13, Monday, at 10 am. Hopefully real Louies can get their hands on tickets and not buy them through overpriced scalpers.

BE YOU (July 22)

Red Velvet is coming to Manila this July | GMA News Online

Following the Begin Again concert this past May, another K-pop group is going to the country for a performance. And it’s none other than Red Velvet. The iconic girl group is set to headline the Be You concert on July 22. Supporting acts for the concert include BGYO, BINI, and Lady Pipay. Aside from the fact that we get to see Red Velvet in the country once more (and do Joy’s viral Feel My Rhythm dance move), it is all done for a special cause to raise awareness for mental health concerns and kids with special needs.  

GOT7’S YOUNGJAE (JULY 23)

It’s going to be a K-pop heavy weekend on July 22-23 as a day after Red Velvet’s performance and Yerin’s Manila fansign, GOT7’s Youngjae will be the one to brighten up Filipino Ahgases. He’s travelling to Manila for his Sugar fansign on July 23 at the New Frontier Theater. If you want to secure tickets, you need to purchase at least two copies of his new album via CDM Entertainment’s website from June 12 to July 1.

BEYOND THE STARS (JULY 23)

Get ready for a parade of some of the brightest Star Magic stars in this concert. As part of Star Magic’s 30th anniversary, the company is holding this super concert featuring some of the hottest names like DonBelle, KDLex, Andrea Brillantes, Maymay Entrata, BGYO, AC Bonifacio, Maris Racal, Kyle Echarri, and much more. Prepare for the stars to align for a night of entertainment at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on July 23, 8 PM. You can get tickets now via SM Tickets. And for those living in the US and Canada, don’t fret as they will also be bringing Beyond The Stars in a US tour later this year.

BAMBAM (July 26 and July 28)

July 2022 is low-key the month of the Pinoy Ahgase. Not only will Youngjae have a fansign in Manila, so too will BamBam. And the best part is that the Thai rapper will also have a fanmeet in Cebu, a rarity for foreign acts in general. On July 26, the Thai rapper will be holding a fansign in Manila in Cebu. And on July 28, he’ll be flying north for this Manila fansign, a day before his concert in the city. Check here and here for details on how you can go.

2022 K-POP MASTERZ IN MANILA (July 29)

If you think July 2022 was going to end quietly in terms of K-pop concerts, PULP Live World is here to prove otherwise. BamBam, Jackson Wang, and TREASURE are all set to appear in this omnibus concert at the tail end of the month at the Mall of Asia Arena. That’s right, YG’s hottest 4th gen boy group and 2 GOT7 members are performing in the same concert. Tickets for this July 29 concert will go on sale on June 26, 12 noon, via SM Ticket outlets.

TAY TAWAN AND NEW THITIPOOM (July 30)

Tay Tawan, New Thitipoom are coming to Manila in July

After four years, Filipino Polcas can finally see Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom once more as the duo are coming back to Manila on July 30. TayNew was last in Manila in 2018 but this will be the first time that it’s just the two of them. Additional details about the fanmeet will be posted by GMMTV at a later date.

CHA EUN WOO (August 6)

ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo is set to entertain his Filipino fans once more with his upcoming fanmeet in Manila this August. As revealed by DNM Entertainment, the event is called “Cha Eun Woo: 2022 Just One 10 Minute” and will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on August 6. This marks the third time he’s held a fanmeet with his Pinoy fans and the second doing so in person. He first came to the country for his solo fanmeet in October 2019. He then held a virtual fanmeet with his Filipino fans this January 2022 in partnership with Smart. Pre-selling of tickets begin July 2 with official selling beginning the next day, July 3.

SUPER JUNIOR (August 6)

Super Junior are set to have their next comeback this July. And Filipino E.L.Fs have much more to look forward to from the legendary group as they are coming to Manila this August. Entitled Super Show 9, the group is set to perform at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 6. A comeback and concert back-to-back? Better start saving up. GIMME SHELTER (August 6)

Getting its name from the classic Rolling Stones song, Gimme Shelter promises to be a night of good music and rock and roll. One of Indonesia’s top artists, Pamungkas, is set to headline the concert. Joining him as his headliner is none other than Ben&Ben. Rounding out the line-up are Munimuni, She’s Only Sixteen, and Cheats. Catch these artists live on August 6, 2022, Saturday at the 123 Block, Mandala Park in Mandaluyong City. You can get tickets here.

BILLIE EILISH (August 13)

We’re going to be Happier Than Ever (and so to is Billie Eilish super fan Niana Guerrero) knowing that Billie Eilish is set to come to the Philippines for a concert. After cancelling her 2020 show due to the pandemic, the young superstar is coming to the country once more on August 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena as part of the Asian leg of her Happier Than Ever World Tour. Pre-sale of tickets begin on June 24 with official public selling beginning on June 27.

ALL TIME LOW (August 15)

All Time Low announces August 2022 concert in Manila

After over five years, All Time Low are set to return to the country again for a solo concert. What makes this even better is that their Philippine stop marks the American pop-punk band’s only stop in Southeast Asia outside of their appearance at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan. Catch All Time Low live at the MOA Arena on August 15.

GOT7’S YUGYEOM (August 19)

When Filipino Ahgase joked that they were getting GOT7 tingi version, who knew that would be right. First is Youngjae, then BamBam, Jackson, and now Yugyeom. GOT7’s maknae is the fourth member of the group to travel to the country for a concert. He’s bringing is slick moves and fresh beats to the New Frontier Theater on August 19. THE MAINE (August 27)

HIH: ALL ACCESS (August 27)

When season one of He’s Into Her came to a close, the cast celebrated by holding a special online concert. But for season two, they are going all out with a live finale at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. As their way to thank fans for their support, the cast of He’s Into Her will be coming together for a grand finale concert at the Big Dome on August 27. All your fave cast members will be there for the biggest Benison bash ever. Tickets are available now via Ticketnet.

BEN&BEN (September 3)

Ben&Ben’s last concert was at the Araneta Coliseum this past December. And while it was an amazing show, the lack of a live audience was noticeable. This is why the chart-topping band is back for another concert, and this time, there will be a crowd. Ben&Ben is staging a concert at the CCP grounds on September 3. The event will serve as their send-off before they head off on their US tour. Pre-sale for fans begins on July 9 with the public sale on July 12 via ovationtickets and Ticketnet outlets. Considering how this will be their biggest yet, this isn’t one to be missed.

NCT 127 (September 4)

For those of you who were keeping up-to-date with Pinoy K-pop Twitter, NCT 127’s concert in Manila was already an open secret. But it feels just as good now that it’s officially confirmed. The K-pop boy group are coming back to the Philippines as they bring their NEO CITY : THE LINK Tour to Manila on September 4 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Ticket selling begins this August 21, 12 PM at all SM ticket outlets and online. That’s pretty close so NCTzens should start saving that coin now.

G(I)-DLE (September 11)

G(I)-DLE has had a wonderful 2022 with the success of their I NEVER DIE album. TOMBOY and MY BAG are already both in the running as some of our favorite K-pop songs of 2022. The girl group is set to continue that success as they are set to embark on a world tour later this year. And one of those stops is in Manila on September 11 at the New Frontier Theater. BEABADOOBEE (September 16)

Fil-Brit beabadoobee to perform live in Manila this September - Philippine  Concerts

After a breakthrough performance at Coachella earlier this year and the release of her second album, Beatopia, in July, beabadoobee is returning to her roots with a concert in the Philippines, her very first in the country. The Fil-Brit is bringing her BEATOPIA tour to Manila with a show at the New Frontier Theater on September 16, 2022. Tickets go on sale on August 10, 10 AM. Live Nation PH Members, meanwhile, get access to the pre-sale on August 9, 10 AM.

SB19 (September 17)

Not only will September see SB19’s comeback with the official release of WYAT and its music video on September 2, but the month will also see the group begin their tour. SB19 wants to know where you at on September 17? Because they hope you show up to the opening leg of their world tour. The WYAT [Where You At] world tour kicks off at the Araneta Coliseum with tickets going on sale on Thursday, August 18, 12 NN. Following their show in Araneta will be a series of shows in cities around the country like Clark, Cebu, Davao and more.

And in the following months, the tour extends globally as SB19 heads overseas to multiple countries like US, UAE, and Singapore to name a few. International A’TIN can expect SB19 to drop by their city starting October 2022. It’s a world tour whose every aspect has been touched, tweaked, and conceptualized by the members themselves. THE SCRIPT (September 23)

The Script, the Irish pop-rock band behind tracks such as Breakeven, Hall of Fame, and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, is set to return to the country once more for a concert this September. As part of their Greatest Hits Tour 2022, the band is playing at the Mall Of Asia Arena on September 23. This actually marks the fifth time the band has held a concert in the country. K-POP MASTERZ EP 2 IN MANILA (September 23)

It’s the concert sequel you knew was coming but are still happy was announced. K-pop Masterz is back for a part 2, and this time, iKON, ATEEZ, and GOT7’s Youngjae are set to light up the stage of the Big Dome. The concert marks iKON’s long-awaited return to the country, ATEEZ first time in the Philippines, and Youngjae’s return to the PH in just two months. Once again, the GOT7 tingi version continues, but we don’t mind. These artists are primed to tear down the house. The concert will be on September 23, 7 PM at the Araneta Colisuem. OH WONDER (September 27)

Jessi’s star has risen exponentially over the past couples of years thanks to hit singles like Nunu Nana and Zoom. And now, Jessi is set to perform for her growing fanbase around the world, and that includes zooming her way to Manila. The K-pop star is set to make her way to the country on September 30 as revealed by Be You, the same company that is bringing Red Velvet to Manila this July. K-pop meets P-pop in an outdoor festival that’s truly the first of its kind. 6 K-pop and P-pop artists are set to come together at the CCP Open Grounds on October 21 for a day of pure pop perfection filled with performances and activities. The K-pop lineup consists of former Queendom contestants with confirmed participation from Hyolyn, Viviz, Brave Girls, Park Bom, and Loona with the addition of Be’O. I-POP U 2022 MANILA (October 21)

October 21 is truly a day for K-pop festivals for Pinoy K-pop stans. On October 21 at the Araneta Coliseum, Xdinary Heroes, Golden Child, NCT Dream, and Wayv are all coming to Manila for the I-Pop U 2022 Manila K-pop concert. Not only will this be a great time to see NCT Dream’s return to the PH, but also see new acts for the first time like Xdinary Heroes. Ticket selling begins on October 1, 12 noon, via Ticketnet.

KINNPORSCHE THE SERIES WORLD TOUR (October 22)

The hit Thai action romance drama series is coming to Manila and it promises to be a wild night. The KinnPorsche World Tour heads to the Philippines on October 22 for a one night show at the MOA Arena at 8 PM. Pre-sale for this Live Nation PH and Pulp production begins on September 12, 10 AM with general pre-sale starting on September 13, 10 AM.

KANG DANIEL (October 22)

Filo Dainty, get ready to see Kang Daniel live once more as the former Wanna One member turned solo artist is bringing his First Parade tour to Asia, and one of his stops is in Manila. PARK EUN-BIN IN MANILA (October 23)

Thanks to her stellar performance in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Park Eun-bin has gained new fans all over the world. And she’s set to meet some of them as the K-drama actress is heading to Manila for a fan meet. Entitled Park Eun-Bin Asia Fan Meeting Tour: Eun-Bin Note: Binkan, the fan meet tour is heading to Manila on October 23 and will be held at the SM City North EDSA Skydome. This marks the first stop of her Asia tour.

JUSTIN BIEBER (POSTPONED)

This concert has been a long time coming for many Pinoy fans. Justin was initially set to come to the country in 2017 as part of his Purpose World Tour. But that got cancelled, as well as a whole host of others, because wanted to take a break. But Justin is finally coming back to the country to perform. As part of his Justice World Tour, Justin is taking stage at the CCP Open Grounds on October 29. Considering that his last concert here was in 2011 for the My World Tour, this is much welcome news. UPDATE: The tour is currently postponed as Justin is currently healing from a disease.

HALLYUWEEN (October 29)

Have no plans this upcoming Halloween 2022? Then why not spend it with a bunch of K-pop and P-pop stars in a concert that promises to be unlike any other. For the first time ever, PULP is giving us a K-pop Halloween Party that will have you screaming with a lineup of CL, Epik High, Pentagon, KARD, GahoxKave, BGYO, and DJ Soda. AVRIL LAVIGNE (November 3)

2022 saw Avril Lavigne return to her pop-punk-rock roots with her new album Love Sux. Her debut album Let Go also celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. And now, Avril is bringing the punk-rock revival to the country with a concert on November 3 at the Araneta Coliseum. This concert was actually supposed to be held in the country back in 2020, but it got postponed due to the pandemic. But now, all the 2000s emo kids can finally see Avril live.

Russ is returning to Manila for a second time following his 2019 concert. As part of his world tour, the American musician is set to hold a concert at the Mall Of Asia Arena on November 5 with special guest Bugus.

JACK WHITE (November 5)

For the first time ever, Jack White, most known for his time with The White Stripes, is coming to Manila. The noted rock figure is bringing his world tour to Manila with a show at Samsung Hall at SM Aura Premier on November 5. Tickets go on sale beginning September 23, 10 am, via SM Tickets.

JI CHANG WOOK (November 6)

Ji Chang Wook becomes the latest K-drama actor to head to Manila as his <Reach You> fan meet is heading to the Philippines. The actor, singer, and Bench endorser is holding his long-awaited fan meet, which was initially cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, at MOA Arena on November 6. Ticket details will be revealed at a later date.

ERIC NAM (November 10)

Korean-American singer-songwriter Eric Nam is coming to Manila, again. He recently announced the Asia leg of his world tour, There And Back Again, titled after his sophomore album which was released earlier this year and Manila is included in one of his stops. He’s performing at Samsung Hall on November 10. Tickets will go on sale at 10AM local time on 8 September and will be available for purchase here: ericnam.com.

LANY (November 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16)

You know what’s better than a LANY concert in Manila? Five LANY concerts in Manila. The LA-based band is set to hold a five (yes, five) night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena this November 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16 as part of their Asia tour.

ALANIS MORISSETTE (November 18 and 19)

The legend herself Alanis Morissette is set to take to the Mall Of Asia Arena stage this November. As part of the 25th celebration of her iconic Jagged Little Pill album, the music legend is holding not one, but two dates in the country. You can catch her rock out to many of her timeless hits this November 18 and 19.

BOY PABLO (November 26)

After postponing his 2020 tour, Norwegian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist is set to finally travel to Manila as part of his 2022 Asia Tour. Filipino fans are in for a good time and good vibes in general as boy pablo serenades the crowd with his hit songs. His concert will be held at the New Frontier Theater on November 26.

DRP IAN (November 30)

Christian Yu, or more commonly known as DRP Ian, is coming to Manila. The Korean musician is brining his Regime Tour to Asia, and that includes a stop in Manila at the Filinvest Tent on November 30. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 12, 11 AM.

SALO-SALO FEST (December 2-4)

A music festival inside a theme park? You already had us at theme park. For the first time ever, Enchanted Kingdom is holding it’s first-ever in-park music festival called Salo-Salo Fest. It’s happening right in time for Christmas, December 2 to 4. The three day festival brings together the best of classic and modern OPM with confirmed acts like Rico Blanco, Arthur Nery, Denise Julia, Ely Buendia, Zild, Paolo Sandejas, Ena Mori, Curtismith, Unique, and Lola Amour all set to perform. MAROON 5 (December 8)

The Christmas season is usually the time for fun gifts and surprises. And on the concert front, Filipino fans can look forward to this special treat from Maroon 5 as they are returning to the country once more for a concert. As part of their 2022 World Tour, the best-selling band are swinging through Asia at the end of the year and one of their stops will be at the Mall of Asia Arena on December 8. HEAD IN THE CLOUDS MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL IN MANILA (December 9-10)

They say things you say in the world is a way in which you can manifest things. For those then who openly hoped for HITC to come to Manila, they got their wish. 88rising’s Head In The Clouds Festival is set to make many Filipinos’ Christmas season a memorable one with landing in the country on December 9-10 at the SM Festival Grounds in Paranaque City. The lineup for this is probably going to be insane with a mix of global stars and local acts to make for the best of festivals.

KESHI (December 11)

Casey Luong, or more commonly known by his stage name keshi, is bringing is HELL/HEAVEN Tour to Asia at the end of the year, and one of his stops is Manila. On December 11, keshi is coming to the country for his concert at the New Frontier Theater. Fan club pre-sale begins on July 18 and LNPH pre-sale on July 19. General sale begins on July 20, 10 AM.

ALESSO (December 17)

Party the night away in an epic EDM production showcase with Alesso when the celebrated DJ arrives in Manila on December 17 for a concert. The event will be held at the SMDC Festival Grounds. You can get your tickets via Ovationtickets or SM Tickets.

WESTLIFE (February 20 and 21, 2023)

The latest entry on this list, Westlife is returning to the Philippines once more as part of their The Wild Dreams Tour. Supporting their latest album, Wild Dreams, and celebrating their greatest hits, the band will be performing two nights in Manila on February 20 and 21 2023 at the Araneta Coliseum due to high demand.

BLACKPINK (March 25, 2023)

Some of you may have already seen this coming, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting. Pinoy BLINKs, get ready because BLACKPINK is returning to the country once more for their upcoming world tour. Their scheduled stop in Manila is on March 25, 2023. No word yet though on where it will be or ticket details. But even though the concert is still months from now, the early reveal is so that you can save up money already because the bardagulan for tickets will be real. Hopefully, they’ll add a second date. Or at the very least, that real BLINKs will be able to secure tickets.
